This is very cool. I wish I was this smart. I still do my shotties with a hammer...
It would be so great if I had a shell holder for the 20ga. I use a Lee #5 for the .410.
I've ordered a holder made by 4D, but there was no picture of it on the site. Hope I won't be returning it.

Be safe,
Dave

I have a 4D  shell holder for 12g I got from Buffalo Arms company, works just fine.

For me I was using a Lyman top of the die seater but now have a separate RCBS benchtop primer and the 4D shell plate fits right in.  Load the primers up in the tubes, and start pulling the handle.

I can prime a bunch of the Magtechs in no time.

I ordered a hand loader from Rocky Mtn Cartiage it was suppose to be shipped last week...I think he is waiting for the brass to grow so he can mill it out... >:( >:( >:( <<<<Not a happy camper, with this outfit>>>I could deprime my brass with a nail and a board with a hole in it. Not sure what to use to set new primer with.. But Paladin's photo's has given me some ideals ;D

Thank fer all yer replies pards its nice ta know yer innerested in my contraption..  ;D

I`m glad I gave Litl Rooster some ideas

Fer Seth...
I don't think it would be economically viable fer me to make It would end up a lot more expensive than a normal turret press, I made mine effectively outa spares!

Paladin You deserve the bow there...My Kit from Rocky Mtn came today...It does work very easy, I primered 50 new casings right out of the box less than 20 minutes. Had to stop read the Directions  :o :o :o Then loaded up 10 test loads.. to try tomorrow. I like the ideal of having a sizing die. Even though I am using brass, I am sure there will be some deforming from use.

Litl Rooster, it is doubtfull that you will need to resize the brass shotshells as long as you use the real thing, Black Powder and not the subsitutes. Because I have a bud in the machine shop biz I had him drill a real nice hole some .798 inch in diameter through a chuck of stainless steel a little over a half inch thick. My plan was to just put the piece of steel over the spread out jaws of my bench vise, tap the shells in and then out with a six inch socket extension with a 7/16 socket on it to protect the flash hole area. I have this "sizing die" if I ever need it, haven't yet. I suspect that my primer pockets may give out first, not that any have, I still on my origional fifty cases. I've even run some three and a half dram loads with 12 "00" buckshots per load.
Still, it won't cost much to have a machinist drill out a hole of you want.

Paladin, neat rig.

Wills....this is what I was thinking about using the hole in the block and then using the Mandril that came with my loading kit. Good to know they don't distort much..I did not by these to use Heathen Powder I can buy them fairly cheap that way.

I shot the ten loads I made last night...We are having what the media weather folks call a winter mix today... The Dragoon Boomed from each nostril and flame embers and smoke flew, but the wind cleared it quick.  I made 4 loads a 1 oz square load and 4 shots 1 1/4 oz square and the remaining 2 were 1 1/4oz with a 3 dram powder load. Using Goex ffg powder, fiber wads. All shot well and will probably load the 1 1/4 square loads for use. The depriming tool with this kit works well also. However reading the Cowboy Chronicle found ad for  Lolo Sporting Goods, look at their loading kit used with a RCBS chucker .

I bought the loading kit from Rocky Mountain, wish I had just saved my money. I can deprime using a jewler's screwdriver, tap new primers in using my socket and extesion on a flat piece of scrap metal, everything else I can do by hand. Duco cement holds my overshot wads just fine. I use that little 7/8 oz dipper for the FFG and fill the shell up to where when the overshot wad is about a 1/16 below the end of the shell. I have no idea of the velocity but get plenty of smoke and fire. The knockdowns fall when I point the muzzles right. I am not sure why but I have taken to putting a dipper full of #6 shot and then fill the shell the rest of the way with #9 shot, I figger those extra small shot helps on the odd clay bird we see once in a while. Or maybe I just like writing 6-9 on the overshot wad.
We've best stop hijacking Paladin's thread, though.  Brit gun laws bein' what they are, if we make him too angry we would probably have to lend him one of our irons for him to demand safaction.
