All,

Just got back from the Leather Factory.  On a whim, I picked up a bottle Fieblings Institutional Tan dye.  According to the checker, the dye is water-based.  She thought I was off my rocker for buying it.  I told her that I just wanna try it out.  Have any of you and experience using this dye?

BTW, HOWDY!  :)

Yes, I accidently bought some thinking it was the normal alcohol based die.  Oops, for me it ran a lot when wet molding the holsters I built with it.  But that was my experience, and I could have done something very wrong with it.

I've never tried it. You may want to give it a try on a sample before putting it on a finished item or items you spent some time on.

Thanks for the replies, gents.  I'm gonna use it on some key fobs and then seal'em with one of tandy's sealants.  i wouldn't want to put it on a holster or belt or the like.
