Val Kilmer, who played Doc Holliday in "Tombstone," died Tuesday in Los Angeles.

In other works, his star shone brightly "Batman Forever," as Jim Morrison in "The Doors" and Iceman in "Top Gun".

For the 85 years or so that the OK Corral fight has been depicted on the silver screen, Val Kilmer was the best Doc of all.
