if any of you guys can find the book by R. Phillips "Remington Large Bore Conversion Revolvers" it is the so called Bible for these as compared to McDowells with Colt...i bought mine through Joe Salter and just re-reading it....Bob

Least expensive I've seen listed was $166, most over $300.  Sure would be nice if that one was available as a free download the way McDowell's book is.  The McDowell book does have around 70 pages of Remington conversions as well, which is nice.

these books are going for crazy prices, i think i bought the book for 75 dollars and i thought that was too much, the McDpwell book for maybe less than 100 signed by him at a gun show, the guy had a pile of them, lucky i guess...the probelm is that most are out of print and we're gettin older!

the Gun Show in Sturbridge Mass this summer usually has alot of older books and alot of big time collectors are there, if you live in New England..
