Glad to hear that Roger. Get your strength back.
LadyC had a mild case of that a couple days ago or some virus. Thankfully she is better. We had a nice vacation until the last day when Andra got sick. Home now. 78 right now and sunny, supposed to be warmer here this week, with rain later this week. Del, good to see you back.

I'm here invented something new? land night, new to me.  A cobbler/slump a common dessert in a dutch oven.  Cherries on bottom, brownie crust with Old World Walnuts in it.

I have another idea for a dessert but have to run to T-town for supplies first.

Minor flaw in the brownies, but I know what I did.

I had a dumbass attack and used self-rising flour; that's too much baking powder. I need to make more brownies; I don't have that one set in my head like some of the others.  I used notes, a cheat sheet when I made them at the muster, the dried cherries and orange ones as well as the apricot glazed ones.

Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are hot.

There was a red sky in east and a red rainbow in the west, earlier this morning.

'Tis 30 and cloudy. "Mostly cloudy in the morning then becoming partly cloudy. A chance of sprinkles in the morning. Highs in the upper 50s. West wind around 5 mph in the morning becoming light and variable."

I thought it was early.  ;D  Working on sleep regulation, may end up working.  ::)

That guy from the weather channel spent the night in Omaha and got the oil changed at Walmart, LOL photo op and such.

They are or were predicting bad weather, was a little worried till he showed up, he don't have much luck here.  We'll see, not to be here till very late afternoon.

Been busy since I got home, the boss at work is on vacation so as soon as I was back, it's been fulltime since Wednesday and through Saturday ahead. Weather has been gorgeous, supposed to start raining sometime tomorrow and through the weekend. Had to fix our flag tonight, the upper clip had broken but it is now fixed and Old Glory looks right again. Gonna watch the Razorbacks in a few minutes in the NCAA sweet sixteen. And the Cardinals won their home opener tonight.

Not much going on here, another experiment the other day. Apricot slump with a brownie topping but used chopped almonds instead of walnuts and almond extract, then apricot glaze on top.  Actually, not a lot of sugar in it or not as much as you might expect.

One more and then I will write it up, the next one is a dozy.

Afternoon all.

Weather here must be off it's medication, not much else would describe it. In the past 72 hours, we've had snow, rain, 90 degree highs, 65mph sustained winds, a thunderstorm that spawned a minor tornado (EF0, really just inconvenienced a couple jackrabbits), and today it's clear skies and expected to reach 75 degrees. Any time I go out, I just dress for current conditions, and pack the rest of my wardrobe in the trunk.  ::)

today's agenda has included a trip to China-Mart for ice cream, a hummingbird feeder, and a cheap weedehacker. Later probably going to the toy store and get a new AR lower, as I traded a gun to a friend in exchange for an AR upper and some cash. I don't have any lowers around right now, so I guess we'll just see where it goes.

Howdy Y'all,
Had something different in a slice of pizza, Mac&Cheese with BBQ Chicken on it. Was pretty good. They do "Specials" every once in a while like that.Another time they made a loaded mashed potato pizza with cheese,Bacon and sour cream.

Good evening folks, had a good week at work, got home today, had some dinner then got my Sunday School lesson ready. Kicked back right now, watching some news then will decide what to watch. It was fairly nice here today about 73 with scattered showers and sunshine. The one constant is heavy pollen, came out today and my black car was almost solid yellow from the stuff! Anyway, tomorrow will be fun at church, as one of my former High School Sunday School guys will be preaching.

I was eyeing an Arisaka Type 99 on consignment at the Toy Store.
Looked to be a good shooter grade in 7.7 Jap.
The asking wasn't out of sight, though it has been refinished  :-\
I cogitated as I turned it over and over...
Hmmm...don't have Arisaka, do have a bring back bayonet * in collections.
Don't have anything to load 7.7 X 58 no brass, no bullets, no dyes... nada.

Still, I mulled it over some, in the end I passed...well, pretty sure I have.

*as to the Bayonet,
It was in relic condition purchased in the early 70's in a Luzon. PI. relic shop.
Manufactured at the Nagoya Artisanal... I restored it.

M2, the Arisaka will use the same bullets you use for .303 British and 7.62 Russian. Brass choices are (I think) Norma and Prvi Partisan, or form your own from 30'06. Lee makes the dies.
