Downloading pictures and such onto a post

I used to be able to attach pictures, charts, whatever that I had downloaded onto my computer onto a post. Simply hit one of the icons at the top of this section I'm typing on at present, believe it said "Attach file or image" or something similar. My files stored in my computer's downloads, pictures, or documents would come up, I'd select the one I wanted, hit the 'attach' button, and done.

 Now when doing so I move the arrow over one of the icons to the right of the square that says 'You Tube' that either says either 'Insert an image' or 'Insert a link' and both show a box where a URL needs to be filled in and two boxes showing that a height and width numbers need to be filled in. When the CAS City site was redone, did the format/way of attaching files to a post change. I have no idea how to get around the proper procedure whatever that is currently.

 I can do alot of things but being real handy and knowing all the tricks of the trade on this machine made up of wire, plastic, glass, high tech circuitry and gadgetry is not one of them. Put me out in 10,000 acres of timber with a river running through it, hills, and such  with fish and game and I could survive for quite awhile, ask me to manipulate these 21st century marvels we think we can't live without and I'm lost.

Any direction on how to do what I can't? Thank you for any help. CC

Hey Crow, maybe this is what's happening - happened to me anyway til I figured it out.  When you are replying to a post, if you just start typing into the Quick Reply field below, there is no way to attach a pic from your computer.  Instead of starting there, click the Reply button at the bottom of the post, and then the Reply field will have "Click or drag files here to attach them" at the bottom of that field.  When you start a new topic, that option is already there.

Wellll Gooooollly!!! (Said in way and dialect of Gomer Pyle)   Yer right Abilene, I made an attempt but didn't post it on this thread and when clicking the 'Reply' button at the bottom of your post my computer files popped right into view and I for the fun of it 'inserted a picture' into the reply field. Deleted all though. Have to attempt to post the item tomorrow in the Darkside that I tried around 15 times with no luck. Thank ye kindly for your kind supervision and information. Crow Choker

Brrr!  I think we are about to get into the upper 30's here for the first time.  But then warming a bit.  This coming weekend is a weekend match down at George West, Texas, and at this time of year the weather is always iffy.  But this time highs around 70 for the weekend. 

That "Quick Reply" thing got me on a Town Car forum as well, so it shouldn't have taken me as long to figure it out here as it did!

I'll have you know, I, Personally, By Myself, have NEVER been able to successfully post photos to this forum.  NEVER.  Probably because I have never figured out how to "re-size" them nor where to put them to be "dragable."  Good Luck
