Hello, new guy here from GA

I stumbled upon these beauties and was hoping for some more info. Aproxx born on date, all parts in house? The engraver? ETC.

Consecutive serial #s TR Plainsman 44-40 Ser# 229XX There is a full name engraved on the back strap. There is little to no info online I can find

What does your box label say? They were made in 2004. Would you mind sending me a PM with your serial numbers? I'm trying to collect them. There's another BP frame consecutive set that isn't engraved in your serial range.

BigSwede

No date on the label. BP? Black Powder?

GaryG

These were before my time, but look near the black powder screw and you may find the initials of the engraver.  DK. Dennis Keis or JA. John Adams

Where is the black powder screw? Thanks for the info

I believe its what holds the cylinder in?? I saw one over on Gun Broker that had JA on the front of the frame under that screw. Mine have no such markings

You're correct on the location of the BP screw.  If there are no initials there somewhere on the frame will be "someones" initials.  This is considered a master work and it should be signed someplace.  Not the answer you're looking for but without the gun in hand, the best I can do.
