Okay folks, looking at the Lee moulds for a .515 bullet for BP use. Which one looks like the lube grooves are better or will either work?

I use both bullets in 50-70 and 50-90, sized .512, 20-1 alloy. They will cast a bit heavier than the 450/500 weight specified unless your running #2 or harder.

Thanks, are you running regular BP or subs?

Black, 1.5 with SPG lube or smokeless, 50/50. Haven't had much luck with substitute black.

Going to cost more than a Lee mould but these bullets from Accurate Molds will carry plenty of BP lube. I have several of their aluminum moulds and am thoroughly pleased with them.

This mould design will work if you narrow up the center driving band from a .010" to .025" to make the lube grooves wider.

BTW Accurate Molds does not charge for customization so you can adjust any of their designs to suit your needs. This includes diameter, depth or width lube grooves, crimp groove, Gas checks, etc.
