I just found this and thought I'd share, lots of good information for those interested in making their own powder.

Not sure I'll bother for my day to day needs, but it's good information to have on hand should you have no choice (think antigun nonsense or TEOTWAKI type stuff, or even just another ammo panic).  This kind of stuff is actually why I first became interested in cap and ball revolvers (and through that cowboy action shooting), it was 2020 and the ammo shelves had been literally bare for months on end and the only way to find ammo was to pay insane scalpers prices, which I refused to do on principle.  With cap and ball I could always cast my own bullets, make my own powder, and I even bought a die to make my own percussion caps from empty beverage cans and looked up a bunch of recipes for priming compound so that I could make that too.  The idea was that I could be immune from ammunition shortages without having to spend thousands stockpiling pallets of ammo or paying a scalper even one cent over retail, and to be self sufficient in an emergency.

$5 A round blasting grade 9mm left mental scars.
