I scored a Marlin 1894 in .38-40 made in 1901. This is a caliber I haven't done much with but I happened to have an oldish box of Ultramax 180 grain smokeless ammo. I was suprised at how well it shot when I got a 1" group at 25 yards and then a 2" group at 50 yards. This was with the range closing and not much time to take my shots. I get the feeling this rifle is going to shoot really good.

I will be reloading for this rifle so I was wondering if anybody knows what type of bullet is being used in the Ultramax 180 grain ammo?

I will post some pics when I get time.
