Going to the county seat today, need dog food and a program and book signing at the historical society.  Book on my Great-great Grandpa, helped the guy with research, found where the homestead was, one of the first settlers in the county.  Was not able to go look it over, couldn't walk that far, found the owners name and he got permission.

On wait on phone with DHHS. ;D

Went to the sorta big city yesterday. ::)

Had echogram or what ever they call it, heart is about the same as last year.

Got main bunch of groceries for the month. Spent about $200 got $125 or so left on EBT Card till the 5th.  Should be fine except will have to run to Tecumseh for some fresh fruits and veggies if the roads don't get bad, otherwise I have called.  Couldn't get into Costco, no handicap and no mart carts, could have anyway but will just wait till the 5th now.  Have a Medicare physical that day anyway.  Got what I need, just didn't stock heavy on some thing.

Got 5 pounds of cheese, still had 4 in stock.  Got a pound of coffee to go with the pound or so I have.  P Butter, some more flour and yeast.  Forgot anchovies but got It sausage, sauce and mushrooms so pizza will be fine, got tuna and salmon, the real stuff, have plenty canned.  Got some veggies and fruit, esp onions, Rita looks down a lot and says that she can smell them onions clear up there and smiles.  Cooking and grocery shopping has changed a bit.

Got 2.76 lb of decent burger, going to make taco type meat and freeze most.  Got some chopped steak, still have about 4 lb of eye of round and about 6 of boneless pork chops, over 300 tea bags for iced tea.  Should be OK till the 5th. ;D

Signed up for low income dog food, good stuff can get a 5 lb twice a month, not enough but it sure helps, daughter can take my card and pick it up.  I used to complain about license prices but old people and fixed dogs get a big discount and that helps pay for the program.  They have decided recently pets are good for old people. ;)

They are entertaining.  He got his bowl the other night because it was empty and dropped it by my desk on his blanket.  I didn't jump right away and he started dragging it on the blanket.  Saw the phone and hid his head. ;D

Got my Missus home last night from her trip to SC. House is a lot better when I woke up to her laughter this AM. I kept the house in order while she was gone, so she was pleased. G'niece Emma came by today after school to show us her new [to her] pickup, a 2001 Ford Ranger. It's a stepside and is really sharp.

Some of Rita's quilting stuff that I don't want showed up today.  More in the bedroom, will work on sorting it out and post on the community page.  With the population dynamics here, ;) someone will want it.

I'm here, I've been busy taking care of my Mom the last couple of months. She was diagnosed with colon cancer and they found a tumor which they removed along with some of her colon in the beginning of July. She's doing well, but has to take a medicine that the copay is $3250.00 a month. We're trying to get on a program that helps pay for it. Hopefully it goes through.

We got Rita on that.  Wonder if it is the same, not that I would do anything not legal. ;) The cancer center said they could take back the unused but it hasn't got done yet.
