I am still wanting a 1861 Navy Colt conversion. I was wondering if I bought an Uberti Richard's conversion in 38 colt, would the barrel off my Uberti 61 Navy would fit on it then I would buy the kirst unloading rod kit. I am afraid to try cutting the loading Chanel in a new gun.

Pappy, the Uberti cartridge gun (conversion and Opentop) barrels will not fit on percussion frames and vice versa.

Abilene answered directly.  I am no expert but I will give you a design explanation.  The OP is/was dimensionally enlarged from the percussion revolver in order to handle a 45Colt.  I believe they then utilized this same enlarged frame and cylinder for all other calibers.  What that means to your question is the "arbor to barrel mouth" spacing was made longer/wider(whatever you want to call it) in the OP for the 45Colt cartridge sized cylinder than it is on any percussion revolver.

They will never mix up and then match up.
