We had a fair steady sun shower.
Mostly blue skies but this one gray cloud had a boatload of wet in it.
It was over as fast as it started about 20 min total,
Temp's have in the upper 70's and a high of 82 yesterday, cooled off to mid 60's at night.

Morning all.

45 degrees and partly cloudy here, heading for 75.

Busy week, and yet I didn't accomplish anything ::) yesterday was a highlight. Took my parent's cat to the vet, and discovered he had a bacterial infection from what appears to be a bite on his back. He had to stay overnight, but they expect him to come home this afternoon.

Then last night while out hunting with my mom, we found a pair of abandoned dogs. They were very friendly, but also skinny. While pondering the best way to address the situation, another person drove by and decided to adopt them on the spot. So they at least got a happy ending.

Y'all Keep your powder dry.

Was light sprinkles when Riley and I were out, very light, gone now.

Tacos last night, the kids decided they didn't need to worry about me I'm eating fine.  ;) Smothered burritos tonight.  May make a sweet tater pie later, got the things cooked and in the fridge.

Got the kitchen about done at least for now.  Small but set up well.

Tried something last night I never made, used the leftover taco meat.   Some call it stacked enchiladas, Tex-Mex lasagna, I used the 10 inch flour ones they make in store in Lincoln, they fit my 10 stovetop.  I think I need to get a 6 inch when I get my bills paid for the 6 inch corn ones.

Decided to try it in a 10 because they fit and wanted something different.  No idea really why but much better than the rolled burritos I normally use with the leftover taco meat.

I get a long weekend, don't have to do anything till Tuesday and a trip to Lincoln to do several things.  Of course I have things I can and should do, see how many I can do, starting on the bedroom.  Living room has to wait till the kids have time to bring that desk they are giving me..  Computer is on my eating table right now.

I got to RANT....

That big tree is still a mess in my front yard....
I'm humbled and proud of the volunteers. 5 of them cut the mother honker up  :)

BUT, I have had 0 luck getting it cleared, The local TREE So n So's claim fair service.
But they are gauging, one quote is $750 another is a Min. $1000 (and that was over the phone)
I'm sure they are getting RICH off people's plight.
fema won't even answer the phone (lower case implying contempt for them)
TOO busy funding illegals, I suppose.

Sure, I know many have trees down or worse  :o and I can wait, but at least answered the phone with a recording and allow me to get on some kind list.
