Hi everybody
This year at the Grand Muster, Wooly Dan was wearing some shoes that at first glance looked very similar to the Indian War or even the earlier Civil War brogans. I commented on them and he showed me the soles which were rubber. They were designed for people who have diabetes or other problems with their feet.

For people who are looking for a shoe/brogan/bootee that retains the appearance of issued brogans, but are less slippery when walking on grass, you might want to look into these.

Hi Ned

Missouri Boot and Shoe makes CUSTOM SIZED brogans too and you can have the soles sown instead of pegged and then he'll glue rubber on the bottom.  I have a pair.
