Did Colt Shut Down

Heard a rumor today that Colt Mfg, the part of the company that makes their civilian model firearms, including the SAA, was no longer in operation. Is this true and do any of the pards know the straight story?

Web site is still up and I can't find any news about it any where.  If they did close down the anti-gun people would be dancing in the streets.

I think Colt shuts down this time of year for inventory and a "Holiday" vacation for it's employees

Heard quite a few of those rumors. However,absolutely nothing in the local Hartford paper as to Colts shutting down. They used to shut down between Xmas and Newyears and maybe thats what you heard ! Some years it amounted to 13 days off with 10 of them payed... Sure do miss that!!!
