What year or years did USFA percussion pistols show up in catalogues?  Haven't seen an advertisement for them.

RVK

After reviewing a USFA catalog from 1998, Collectors Edition, there are images of their percussion pistols on page 31. However, the catalog does not list them for sale on the other pages. I do remember those pistols being advertised on their website. I have attached a scan of page 31 for your reference. Unfortunately, the original scan is 4MB in size and this webpage will only allow a 4K image. I hope this helps to answer your question.

I remember seeing in a video once a USFA percussion Colt style gun that didn't have a wedge.  Can't remember how it worked, maybe twisted the barrel to remove?  I don't think those were for sale, some sort of prototype maybe.

So those have to be ubertis right? I cant imagine them tooling up for that many designs that never got produced.

Not necessarily.  Well, not necessarily Uberti.  USPFA/USFA never actually tool'd up to make Percussion guns.  The very few that were made, were made from "White" parts from either ASM or Uberti.  Along with Major 2, I do believe the USPFA/USFA were made by Dave Anderson under contract, just to see if Percussion guns were a viable product.  I believe somewhat less than 50 were made.  Don't quote me though, I ain't the USPFA/USFA knowledge guy by a long shot.

Major 2

At the time USPFA was dabbling with offering percussions, their SAA were
Uberti manufactured. The Percussions were either and or Uberti or ASM.
The CEO of ASM at the time was Aldo's son in law and the shop was just down the way from Uberti own.
Parts could and did flow out Uberti' s back door and in ASM's front.
Dave Anderson did some magnificent work on imported parts from both,
His open top conversions were beautiful, see Denis Adler's book,
