Reloading Dies for 56/56 Spencer

I am assuming the only place to get 56/56 Spencer reloading dies is from CH4D.  I just emailed them and the delivery date is early to mid 2024.  I see 56/50 all over the place.    🙁

You can reload 56-56 with 56-50 dies. Sizer is the same. In fact, way back when I ordered a 56-56 sizer from CH-4D and got a die marked 56-50. You just need to adjust the neck and seater dies way down, and back off the seater die body so the bullet doesn't bump into the crimp ring.

Accurate Molds # 51-330S Cycles the best in both my reproduction and my original Spencer.

They will modify the mould diameter to your specification. All you need to do is slug your barrel. Because the Spencer action is so sensitive to OAL, I eliminated the crimp groove. Tgis way I can crimp the round at the OAL that works best for my

I have found that RCBS dies work best for bullets .514" and smaller in diameter.

For bullets .5145" and larger go with the Lyman dies.

I use a Lyman "M" die with the appropriate diameter expander from Buffalo Arms.
