This is a very cool film with the WW1 footage, eyewitness comments, news reports and 'Martians' but I wish they could have did a litter better with the cgi Tripods and not repeated the same images as often. You might want to try a film called Mutant Chronicles, it's kind of steam punky with airships, steam cannons and  the aliens rebuilding humans into their mutant soldiers. Has Ron Pearlman in it. I liked it.
