Oh for those of you who get monitored this was really the only flag we got on the blood work, looks like I may need to eat a bit more salt. ;D

Slim can our mailman can attest that I use herbs a lot to flavor and if you need salt for it it is on the table.  Funny how so few seem to though.  I've been doing that for many years, long before my problems.

About 61,000 Puerto Ricans served in the Korean War, including about 18,000 who enlisted in the continental United States Puerto Ricans distinguished themselves as part of the 65th Infantry Division, the "Borinqueneers,"

The Museum hosted the Congressional Gold Medal ceremony for the Korean War Veterains held Friday 2/3/2023.
US Congressman Soto presented the Gold medals, to the 65th Regiment and several surviving members in attendance.
This is a second ceremony the Museum has hosted; the 1st was for WW2 Merchant Marines & Navy Armed Guard last fall.
Saturday's attendance was bustling due to the prior day's media coverage.

In other news, we will host a Theatrical Group and their performances of "Biloxi Blues"
live performances in the coming weeks.

On the way home from church today, my wife spotted a classic car show at our local supermarket. They had some cool stuff. Lots of late model Corvettes and Mustangs. The Blue Mustang is a 1969 model. I had a Red 1969 Mustang GT Fast-back in the day. Wish I still had it.

The winner, IMHO, was a 1950 Chopped Red Merc with lake pipes. Click this link for a slide show:  http://www.johnnymccrae.com/Car-Show.html

Well 43 here right now, supposed to stay warmer the next few days, might get to 70 tomorrow. Back to work tomorrow, missed most of last week due to some kind of virus. Might even talk the Missus into giving me a haircut!
Y'all be good!

Morning all.

34 with snow flurries, heading for 35. Big temperature swing there ::)

The doc cleared me for light duty at work today, so I'm going to go do some small stuff around the shop. Recovery has been good so far, with pretty much all external bruising gone. The rib is painful, but that's not anything particularly worrisome as I've experienced that one before. The biggest pain right now is that tendon, which I just keep stretching every so often. One of the best ways to stretch it (ie most pain relief) that I have found is the "front leaning rest" position. The basic training flashbacks are more painful than the rib/tendon combo, so it's a bit distracting I guess ::)

Trinity Kid,
so no Limbo lessons, huh?

I think I'll have to pass on that one for the time being.

You're lookin' a little lonely here.  Thanks for the coffee.  It's stopped sno*ing here for about 5 days now, and the temps been up in the mid to high 40's trying to melt most of the white stuff here on the valley floor.  We do have a measured snowpack at 200% of normal up on the Hill, so we're now thinking about the possible flooding along the Truckee River this spring.  The good thing is Lake Tahoe and the other area reservoirs have plenty of room to store the melt.  We'll see what March and April do as far as precip. goes and cross our fingers.

Didn't want to post I haven't done much but nap and mess on the computer, still working on picture mess, an hour or two a day, should be done by spring and will keep it from becoming a mess.  Went from 16.4 to 12.1 gig since Christmas.  All cooking pictures I can find in about 30 seconds.

Ditto on the back aching, :( mine is barking some more than normal today.

Should have been a normal day off, but my counterpart (the other curator) lost his keys to the Museum.
With out them, there is No entry,  So he called me in a panic unable to open the doors.
I'm about a 35-minute drive from the place, so with my rushing getting dressed and out the door I was there to open up for him in about 38 minutes  :-\  Kinda pushed the speed limits, I did !
He (BTW lives literally 5 minutes away) and three volunteers and 4 light duty temps were waiting for me.  :P
To my knowledge, no guests were inconvenienced. when we opened 1 hour late. ::)

I'm home now, and I suppose the Museum Director who arrived about 12:30 P will need to get a set of keys made so they can close tonight a 6PM.
Oh well....poop happens

I'd sure be extra vigilant against robbery or vandalism for the next several days if he hasn't located his lost keys.

He hasn't, they are not marked, so if found no one would what know they were for.
In addition, should they be used, the perpetrator would not know the security code, we have motion detection alarms and cameras.

Coffee's brewing, rained during the night off and on, a couple of heavy pours at times.
Forecast calls for 75% further chance of rain today.
I'm off, normally I'd man the u-see-um, but I'm covering tomorrow this week instead.

More later perhaps, once I'm firing on all 8 cylinders.  :)
