I see alot of companys are making all blue Winchester 73 replicas and was wondering if they're historically authentic or just a way to cut cost down a bit? Thanks

Actually, the blue finish on barrel and frame was standard for the Winchester 1873.  All other finishes were special order!  By the way, a 24" round barrel was listed as "standard" for the Winchester 1873.  However, due to demand, the octagon barrel out sold the round by 6 to 1.

In many ways, the Uberti guns often carry, what would have been, special order features from Winchester!

Adios.

I have seen them with both finishes, but if blue was an original offering, it would be authentic to get it in blue too.  Personally I would rather have a case colored version.
