Uberti original then or now?

Ordered a  :Bought trigger guard to replace my1951 Uberti square back trigger guard,, It didn't fit,,
Seems Uberti  changed the length somewhere around 2007!
So the question is,,which grip is closer to the original Colt 51,,the old Uberti or the newer one?
