That 78 storm from what I understand killed so many orange trees that USDA and Florida orange growers started working on a more cold resistant orange and worked with the Mandarin Orange and came up with a hardy high producing one that at first was expensive but eventually came down in price as more planted it and is the Cutie/Clementine types we see today.

We need the snow, right now we could use a big wet snow then warm up to the upper 30's or 40's and then repeat and rinse through the winter, key is slow, we need water but don't need the Missouri to be 3-6 miles wide like some recent years.  Our best recharge comes in winter.

Currently 57° head for a 68° high very pleasant.

Now, NOAA predicts Florida is expected to experience warmer-than-normal temperatures this winter, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Last week the outlook was colder  ::)  all they are really saying is, it's a GUESS!

We can't afford them up here yet, kinda like the others at first.  We get the Cara Cara affordable and like them and I like blood oranges.

Home yes, better yes, mending, not so sure, may have been a mistake to have not stayed a couple days and had things really fixed.  Going to talk to GP about things Monday. The fix is not a big deal just a simple scope, , likely simpler than 15 years ago.  Dr decided that despite being off pain meds when I left a Rx of 10 of the good ones was reasonable, still in the stapled sack, might make the difference between going to the ER on the weekend or getting to the GP on Monday, makes things simpler, as long as I can hold liquid down I'm OK.

Oh, didn't ever study but got an A on my urine test the other day.  In honor of all those jokes about studying for one.   ;D  Plus all the time at events Esp the muster I try to keep others from it. ::)

I will be hosting a Quilts of Valor ceremony tomorrow, with 7 inductees.
The Museum hosts these several times a year, this will our 4th. in 2022.
In August we had 12 inductees.
The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover all military service members and veterans who have been touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.

Morning all.

-1 and sunny in the Missoula valley this morning. Got about an inch of white last night, but it mostly blew away.

Today's agenda includes regular work and then feeding horses in the evening. I don't know why the feeding feels so much colder than the rest of the day, but she does.

Tinkered a bit in the reloading/mancave, a light lunch and some light reading I think....

Spent 5 hours in the ER yesterday, couldn't hold fluid down again, got me pain meds and anti nausea, plus a bag of saline.  Could eat when I got home, got appointment with GP tomorrow and will get a surgeon arranged ASP as far as I am concerned.

A lot of progress in the last 15 years, have not dealt with one Dr that pretends like adhesions don't exist, they admit most the old SOBs have retired and the new ones being human is part of the teaching.

Also anti nausea med has improved, see in severe cases what do you do if nothing will stay down, medicine comes up before it works.  new ones are tiny and dissolve in the mouth like a Nitro tablet.   Bad thing, no more "I might as well stick them up my butt for all the good they do" jokes.  ;D  Have caught 2 pharma folks that way, hilarious when they realize you are kidding.

Oh and just so everyone knows although this is a bother, it is not dangerous thanks to modern medicine.

Saw a lot of does in the commute to/from the hunting grounds. Once there, we saw three does. Another day of tag soup for me ::)

Del, when I was frequenting the medical helicopter world, we had nausea medications that were both inhaled and injected, plus some pill types. I don't think they use the first two in hospital settings for whatever reason.

Morning folks, my back is whining this morning but I am still moving! 52 here right now and sunny, supposed to hit 61. Aside from some rain forecast for this weekend, the next 10 days look to be mild and pretty. Lifting my coffee cup to you all this morning, prayers for you all, my friends.
