Looking at a 1860 rifle in good condition, serial number is supposed to be 3190.  Any info would be appreciated.

nineff,

??? ??? ??? "supposed to be 3190"  how about a more definite serial #????

Closest I see to the #3190 is #3183, and #3213 - both Spencer Rifles issued to Company B, 9th Michigan Volunteer Cavalry on January 1, 1865.
