We simply MUST have a 95 forum. I got a pile of them. ;D

What are the SASS rules on cut off date? Isn't it 1898? If that's the case I see no problem. Not that I ever intend to shoot SASS again....too many rules and the targets are too close. :P

I've told this before but my club is ECSASS, we shoot in Dare Co. Chance is the prez and stage creator. We shoot our rifles at a far enough distance that you have to aim. A group of shooters came down from Va to play with us but complained that the rifle targets were too far. Mike said no problem, next month they were a little closer but smaller. Loved it.

Many years ago I rescued a '95 rifle from the abandoned guns bin at the local shop. Turned out to be 1903 vintage in 30-40 and a bit tired. Took a month to get all the jacket fouling out of the barrel. It's still picky about loads, but what a sweet rifle! They were a favorite on the SW border around the turn of the 20th century

I have a Winchester Miroku made 1895 carbine and love it
