Great weekend!   Thanks to all the Blue River Regulators for hosting a great shoot!

ira scott

Thanks for coming Paul!  It's having all the out of state guests attend, that we only get to see once or twice a year,  that makes all the preparations worthwhile!

Thanks to everyone who came to the Ruckus and made it another great event! It was the 18th annual and we had a great time. If you have never attended, put it on your calendar for next year. It will be Friday through Sunday, September 8-10, 2023. Special thanks to all the BRR members who worked so hard to put on this event.

I gave some thought to coming out just to observe if nothing else, but then totally spaced it off.

One of these days we are going to take a little road trip and see if we can find the place, but from where we live, I doubt there is any way to get there that does not take us through either Omaha or Lincoln, and I do not like driving through either city.

Pitspitr

You could cross the river at either Blair or Plattesmouth and should be able to easily wind around on the smaller state highways to avoid Lincoln and Omaha

I'd forgot about Plattsmouth. Might give that a try. Blair is too far north.

Pitspitr

That makes it almost a straight shot west with hardly any "winding"

Is it dealing with the traffic, or worried that someone will be taking potshots at ya when passing through? ;) :)

Are you coming from Missouri or Kansas? We had lots of nice folks from there braving hostiles to join us.

Mostly the traffic, and way too many people. I'm in Iowa. Almost right on highway 2. Pretty much a straight shot to Nebraska City and then Lincoln.

Mogorilla

I had google take me through the country off of 2 and ended up just a little south of Valparaiso.    It was last year and I think I would have hit Lincoln during rush hour.   It was a touch longer, but only by a few minutes.    I would play in maps and you can find a pretty direct route that avoids bigger cities.

Pitspitr

So take Highway 2 to the Bennet exit. Turn North on (I believe it's) 148th St. to Waverly. Then west to Highway 77 North to Ceresco. Then west to Valparaiso, and Bob's your uncle.

Thank you. That sounds very do-able. We've been to Waverly a few times for the tractor show.

Is there an actual street address?

ira scott

You can't really see much of Raccoon Forks (the Range) from the road, and the gate is locked.  If you are going to be in the neighborhood, PM me and I may be able to arrange a tour, I'm located 20 minutes from the range. Our last Monthly Shoot is the second Sunday of October (9th), we are also hosting a GAF Muster the following Saturday(15th). You would be more than welcome to participate or observe either event!
