Had a bad day yesterday, nothing wrong but all the stuff lately just hit me wrong and now seeing this reminds me again of everything, yet things are getting better.

It's been over 3-1/2 years since we moved to Florida. We wanted to go back to Wisconsin in 2020 but Covid hit. In 2021 my wife had a very serious operation. On July 5, 2022 we flew to Minnesota to visit my daughter. While in Minnesota we drove to South Dakota to tour the Black Hills. We then drove to Wisconsin to visit my youngest son and old friends. I was able to see my folks home in Milwaukee where I was raised and my old high school.

Funny thing happened last Saturday while driving to my son's home. I was using my daughters Chevy Tahoe which for me was like driving big semi. We started to hear a hissing sound inside the Tahoe. We tried everything but couldn't find out where the sound was coming from. We were just about to go a nearby Chevy dealer when we discovered the sound was coming from my wife's purse. Somehow a ringtone named "Hush - Hush" got on her cellphone. We have absolutely no idea how it got there, We had a hell of a time trying to silence the damn phone. Ain't old age great!

Gasoline was around $4.50 per gallon. Our air travel went very smooth. It was a very memorable trip for us.

Greetings all.

Currently 85 and raining as of 0430. This country averages 4" of moisture per year, and we got half of that this week.

Thank you Slim.

Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse Mountain are always two must see visits for me in the Black Hills. Custer State Park and Spearfish Canyon are also great places to drive thru especially on a motorcycle.

Greetings all.

90 degrees at 0430. Have a general coming through in a couple of hours for a visit, which is the most excitement we've had all week. Well, other than the rain I suppose.

Johnny, Crazy Horse has coke a long way since I was last there in 2015. Did the little visitor center open yet? They were talking about the opening being pushed back by a couple of years last I heard, but I admittedly don't keep up with it.

I had another thought.

A custom caliber SA revolver chambered in a shortened 38-55 case. A true 38 caliber (or .375 anyway). Why would I want to do this? Because I don't know of anybody else who has. Probably wouldn't be as potent as a 38-40, but it would be interesting none the less.

I have been in trouble for years about it, when someone talks about it being cool I mention just because the white man defaced a mountain, it don't mean the Indian should, my Indian friends tell me Native Americans or First Nation are Liberals who live in the city, Indians are their version of rednecks and normally grew up on the rez and smoke signals is their favorite movie. ;D

For those who remember Salt Crick Rick he is one of them.  He grew up down by White Cloud KS and was a Ioway.
