  Thanks..... Base gun was pawn shop rescue....previous owner had antiqued it, let it rust up.....cleaned up pretty nice.....now trying to get it all to match up

On another subject, is that your son with the long hair in the latest email ad from Texas Jacks?  Since you told me he works there, even though I haven't seen him in nearly 20 years, I figure that has got to be him because he looks just like you!

Abilene, that's probably him, sounds right, but he's not quite as good looking as I am! I don't get their emails so can't be sure......if gas doesn't get back to being reasonable, I don't know how much longer he can commute from San Antonio!  Need to find him a room to rent closer......

How did you work on the barrel stud for the loading lever? Is it welded up or did you just grind it down to the contour of the barrel, and put it back in place?

Wow, San Antone is a long commute to F'burg!  Maybe doesn't look EXACTLY like you, but pretty close!  It is a good pic.  I guess he lets you know if there are any bargain guns (well, I suppose that doesn't happen too often at TJ's  )

Crossdrawn, I ground the lug down then blended it to the barrel.
