Surprise NCOWS sticker

Last year I bought 20+ years of The Shootist from Michael Zimmer, who had them listed in the CASCity classifieds.  I am VERY slowly working my way through them, not in chronological order, but definitely the older ones first, like 2001 and earlier.  So the other day I start on a '96 issue, and there is a note from the editor that everyone gets a free sticker tucked into the pages of the magazine, and if anyone didn't get theirs they should contact NCOWS and ask for a replacement.  Well, the sticker was still there in the pages, 26 years later.  Just like the current sticker except the oval is a tad wider.  Thanks, Michael.

Interesting.  Now we send out a sticker to each new member.  I think we started having stickers in that time period.
