I will be leading a seminar at the NCOWS Convention in March, 2022. The Seminar is on US Military bolt action rifles before 1899. I have Springield Krags and a Winchester Lee Navy that are in my safe already to display. But I do not have an example of a Remington Lee, Winchester Hotchkiss, or Remington Keene which were all in 45-70 and issue to the US military although in small numbers. If any of you just so happen to have one of those rare rifles, are attending the Convention, and wouldn't mind bringing it for others to see and me use in the seminar, let me know. Thanks and God bless!

What day is the Seminar? I have an 1st Model Hotchkiss carbine.

Hey Brian,

I just checked and was told my Seminar will be on Friday, March 25. Don't know the time get. So hopefully you will have it available for that day. Thanks! Now just need to find the other two rifles and it will be complete. Take care and God bless!

Will be at convention Friday AM, hang out with Red River Trade. Will be picking up a controversial revolver, a Webley WG Target.

WOW! Looking forward to seeing that one! I'll have my S&W Militaries and some bolt actions to show myself.

How about a Model 1882 Springfield Bolt Action in .45-70? I can bring my Chaffee Reece, if you'd like.

YES YES YES. I will try to include information on that rifle in my seminar as well. I know it was in many of the military trials and highly considered. Thanks!

The NCOWS Convention starts here in a couple of days. Only missing the two Remingtons so far. Have pictures and information, but actual rifles to put hands on have not been volunteered as of yet that I know of. So if anyone that is planning to come would be willing to bring a Remington Keene or Remington Lee, bring them on!

The US Military Bolt Action Seminar was well attended. Lots of good questions at the end even thought I had to cover a lot of information quickly. Thanks to Dusty Tagalong and Two Bit Charlie for bringing their rifles for the seminar and allowing me to display them at my booth. So many people stopped by to ask about the rifles. I had a great time and hope that more Pards go to the 2023 NCOWS Convention.
