Howdy gents.
I have an 1886 Takedown I bought about a year ago. It's a very early USRA stamped Miroku rifle and was in beautiful shape when I got it. It's been a years long dream of mine to have a Turnbull rifle and yesterday that dream was realized. I did not opt for all new stocks as I liked the figuring in my originals. So they refinished them in the old style and added Winchesters "F" pattern checkering. Aside from the CCH and rust blueing refinishing work, I had them delete the tang safety reverting it back to the original design and ream the chamber from 45-70 to 45-90. To say I'm thrilled with how I came out is an understatement!

As a side note, I have some news that hasn't been put on their web page yet. They gave me permission to share publicly. They will be soon offering a line of 1873s. In the showroom were two racks filled with about 40 brand new 1873 straight from Winchester "in the white" for the steel and final finish of the stocks not completed. So look for those to be added to their offerings in the coming months.

I'm going to try to add some pics, but it might not work as I think I ran into a size issue when I've tried to post pics here in the past. Bear with me here, if the pics don't post I'll see if I can get on my laptop and do it from there.

That's excellent! Congratulations!  I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures. If you can't get them to post, you could email them to me and I'll reduce the file size for you if you'd like.

I saw photos of RIDE-RED's 1886 on another website. It is awesome! An heirloom 1886 to be proud of.

Those are beautiful!  I have a Miroku 1886 that I have contemplated sending to them for tang safety removal and CCH. You just might have pushed me over the edge!

In the first pic the rifle with it is my Uberti 1876. They seem to be getting along well 😁

Very nice.  Who doesn't like good wood?  :)
Got any pictures of the other side?

Wow! That's about as nice a rifle as one could want.

That's cool news about the 73's too. Do you remember if they were all one type, or did they have different calibers and configurations?

It's good to see siblings getting along well, especially when the older brother is so good looking.

On the '73s, all of those I saw looked to be the same configuration, octogon barreled with rifle forend and crescent buttplate. Steve (my sales consultant) told me they were all 44WCF. I'm not sure if they will be adding other calibers and configurations. But these are their "production" rifles. I'm certain you could send any '73 in any configuration to them for their treatment.

Turnbull previously did the Miroku '73's for Navy Arms.  I guess they decided to do it with their own brand.  All the ones I saw were durn nice.

They had already done a short run of their own 73's after they finished with the Navy Arms issued rifles, as I own one in 44-40 24" from 2017.

That is absolutely beautiful work. I really want to send one of mine to Turnbull for tang-safety removal and a half cock hammer. I'd also like to have that wood and checkering! Turnbull responded to my inquiry and quoted $1300 for the tang-safety removal and half cock hammer, as beautiful a gun as it is that's about what I have in the rifle but I may cave-in one day and have it done.

Fantastic work!
