Word on several BP forums now is that GOEX is being bought by, no kidding, Dupont!

That would be nice!  They could either call it Goex or go back to Dupont on the cans!

I've got an old Dupont can.  Be nice to see a new one.

I have two Dupont cans that Bunk Stagner gave me.  One of them is still full of FFg!   ;D

My how I hope this is true.  Problem is, anything you see or read on the internet has a high probability of being someone's made up wishful thinking.

All we can do is wait and see...and maybe pray a little bit!

I had just ordered 5 lbs. of Swiss, the same day they made the announcement about Goex being shutdown, coincidentally right before I read of it. But would consider ordering more if it came as DuPont. Haven't had any of that in years.

BE good deal.  :) :) I've several old Dupont cans left over from the early/mid 70's, in fact have several old cans from the first black powder I ever bought called 'Metor'-believe it was made in Scotland.

As I recall we purchased Meteor powder in  one lb. orange cans for the princely sum of $2.00 American!

Blackpowder Burn

My company was owned by DuPont until a few years ago.  It was sold off because it didn't meet their business goals of having only premium, high margin products.  While I really hope Goex is purchased by someone, it seems out of character for today's DuPont.

But, who knows........maybe somebody new in upper management has a sense of history and nostalgia.

You got it Jubal-$2.00 a pound. Think those Italian Caps in the red plastic containers were a penny apiece, ie. $1.00 per hundred. I found several of those red plastic cap 'tins' some time back rummaging around in my shop. I recall a few of them becoming targets when empty at wherever we were shooting at. I recall one incident of doing so down at the 'Cutoff'. (Term used in our area where one river merged into another river.) Alotta primers popped, powder burned, and lead sent downrange in that area over the years, esp the late 60's, 70's, and 80's. ;D

Probably bs. DuPont was bought out in 2012 and the name is seldom used on anything anymore. I doubt they'd jump into bp. If Swiss/schutzen or federal doesn't buy goes it'll just fade into obscurity.
