Slept late since I got my flu and pneumonia shots yesterday. The flu shot always makes me feel like garbage, so I slept 18 out of the last 24 hours! Got coffee, and feeling almost human again. 52 here right now, supposed to get to the 60s then drop tonight when that cold front hits and down to 28. Y'all stay warm!

So far the boo hoo woo hoo has not effected me, health wise , Job wise ? well I was retiring anyway  ???
My Wife had the initial  2 Pfizer jabs but has not done the booster.
She came down with something ( cold probably ) , but has tested negative with two home test kit.

Delmonico,
no, have not. You've mentioned it before, so it's on my radar. Sounds like a restaurant to take the wife.

Evening all.

Productive day today. Bought some furniture for the house finally. It's Chinamart plastic fantastic, but we have a kitchen table and a futon to sit on, so the Mrs is happy.

In other gun-related news, I sold my Ruger Max9, and bought a 1911 today. It's a Turkish copy of an Officer ACP in 9mm. I know it isn't in The Lord's Caliber, but John Mosses Browning saw fit to chamber the Hi-Power for 9mm, so I at least can sleep easy knowing JMB is not totally against the cartridge. That's also the caliber I have on hand. I pick up the gun in two weeks once it arrives at the store.

You can't go wrong with a 1911 in any caliber.
My 9mm is a Hi-Power.  ;)

I have a couple 9mm, A Browning HiPower, a Kahr K-9 and a Ruger SR9c. I also have a 1911 Colt in .45 a.c.p. There's nothing wrong with a 9mm with proper ammo.

Military appreciation weekend at the "U see Um" we are offering free Hotdogs, chips & cold drinks, Ho-ho's and Twinkie's.
Sadly the lousy misty rain kept the attendance low .
Maybe today will be better.

The daughter of a Late retired Col. of USMC Pilot, donated his Flight Overalls & Flight Jackets, he flew the A-6 Intruder.
Included was his flight Helmet and a radio headset, also included was really detailed Grumman A-6 Intruder desk model with Col. Woods air wing markings.
I will complete logging in the donation today.
The late Col. Woods flew combat during the Gulf War, may he rest at peace.

I have my Beretta 92 in 9mm, and my dad has a S&W Shield 9mm.  I like the caliber. It's also very available out here, especially with HSM being right here.
I'll probably put some Wilson Combat parts in my new gun, specifically extractor and recoil spring. This one already comes with good sights, so I'm happy there.

Just read this:
"I understand the powers-that-be in cowboy shooting have adopted a power factor (bullet weight times muzzle velocity divided by 1,000) of "60" as mininum. To put this in perspective a 200 gr. .44-40 bullet would only have to travel 300 fps to make "power." The cowboys of old (and even those living today in the real world) would not be caught shooting a big bore sixgun with a powder-puff load like that — it's embarrassing."
