What ski area is it.  The wife was an avid skier and was curious which one it is.  She rattled off a whole list of those around Milwaukee and most of the rest of Wisconsin.  They didn't mean anything to me as I had had not met her at that time and had not "fallen down hill on pointy sticks at high speeds" at that time.

Good Morning All.

Pumpkin Spice coffee is hot. Toasted bagel, eggs over easy and crisp bacon is the breakfast plan.

41º climbing to 64º today, plenty of sun and a little breeze from the South, 3 - 5 miles per hour. Looks to be a pleasant day. Tomorrow more of the same.

Cleaning out the garage for Winter is on the agenda. Someone coming to collect moving boxes, and wife has some to-do on her list.

Back in Wisconsin I used to have a season pass at Alpine Valley and Devils Head for 40 years. Stopped skiing when at 75 I had a replacement hip put in. I really miss the skiing.

Looks like a shower has snuck past the Procrastinators.  It's cloudy right now, but even with over 60% chance of rain, I wouldn't take bets on it get anything wet.

TODAY
SAT 11/06
HIGH 52 °F
HIGH 53 °F 65% Precip. / 0.07 in
Overcast with rain showers at times. High 53F. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 70%

High winds last week caused a bow in our fence, that I now have to straighten out.  Got 16' of 2x4 and deck screws to reenforce the top plate of the fence.  Had to take down the tarp that covers the wood pile (as it's anchored to that part of the fence).  This means that 70% chance of wet firewood  has probably turned to 110%.

Sue's still going up to Mt. Rose and NorthStar (local ski areas) a couple times a year (except Covid did in last years plans).  She has torn her ACL twice now (ladder induced, not skiing), but still plans to go a couple times this season.  At 71 she's got a couple of year to go to catch up to you.

I envy Sue. Never skied the Lake Tahoe area, just Colorado and Utah. Please tell her to ski safe and make a run for me.

TODAY
MON 11/08
CURENTLY 57 °F
HIGH 57 °F 37% Precip. / 0 in
Snow showers this morning. Becoming partly cloudy later. High 57F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 40%.

Repaired the fence Saturday and got the tarp back up, just to make sure that it wouldn't rain on the firewood.  It didn't rain at all.  Good insurance, it never rains if you prep for it!

By the way not'a snow flake in the sky, just lots of severe blue out there!

No knee surgery today, her Covid test was positive, reschedule for Dec 13th.

I got to ride in the big red box truck last night about 7pm anyway.   O2 was 94, not bad but the BP was bouncing around in the 90s-70's in the over and low 50's to upper 30's in the lower.  and HR was around 140.   EMT's and ER people were a bit excited for a while when I told them I'd been eating fine and had drank a little over 2 liters over the day.  Got an IV in the ambulance, EKG on the porch where I waited, some sort of med in IV to raise BP a little.   Got to ER and they put the big EKG on me, the one with more wires, did a chest X Ray, aspirin and other stuff in IV, pumped a liter bag in fast, then took me to MRI and did a dye test.  Drew out half my blood in two draws, decided I had P-monya and sent me home about 1 am.  Got follow up with Amy on Thursday. ::)

She will be so glad I lost at least 20 pounds, was closer to 30 till this crap popped back up.   Took the kid to school this morning, will go pick up up in a bit.  We slept late this morning between all the Drs office calls.   Think supper will be help your
