Hello the Fire....
I have a '66 and would like to install a brass bead front site on it to help old eyes. They were sold by Marbles and Lyman but I cannot find an example actually installed on a rifle.

Would replacing the stock front sight with a brass bead sight on a '66 rifle be NCOWS legal??

Thanks in advance.

I'm not the Judge, but IMO people have probably been replacing front sights on rifles ever since old eyes were invented! Brass and ivory were available and commonly used,  fiber optic probably not.

That was my thought.  Agree on the fiber optic version.
Thanks for your response.
