We had 14 shooters that were brave [or foolish] enough to come out and play in the heat. We usually do 6 stages but cut one yesterday. There were 7 cas shooters and 7 boltgunners. Some boltgunners used 1911s and some DA's. I ran a pair of big 1918 Smith .45 revolvers, before lunch I shot my recently rebuilt bubba No1 Mk3 Enfield, after lunch I used my 1903 Springfield rebuild. For a sg I used a Model 30 20ga Marlin. Shot the match clean but had 1 procedure. I managed to squeak by our resident 'A' shooter by less than a second, he had 4 misses. He ran a .308 Jungle Carbine and a pair of K frame .38 Smiths shot modern while I shot .45s duelist. It was a hot but fun match. Nobody took pictures I'm afraid, too hot. Next month is Wild Bunch. 1911, Marlin 1894 and a M12. More fun than a hog killen! Stay safe all, extreme heat, covid, fires and Ida.
