Two Flints

Hello SSS,

As this year draws to a close, I just wanted to extend my thanks to all the members of the Spencer Shooting Society for making this discussion forum such a great success.  Your visits to SSS, your technical contributions, your willingness to help others with information about the operation and shooting of Spencers has been fantastic and invaluable.

When I purchased my Spencer, I quickly discovered that there was very little information available about the Spencer on the Internet.  Sure, there was a scattering of information here and there, but not enough information in one place that I could go back to for more and more information. The Spencer Shooting Society has really filled that void on the Internet.  I continue to enjoy the many submissions by so many different members, who each contribute to the wealth of information about Spencers for all to read.

I really appreciate all the contributions by so many different members, and I hope more and more  information will continue to be added in the months and years ahead.  And lastly, a very special thank you to the Marshall for contacting me and offering the Spencer Shooting Society a home here at Cas City.

   Greetings!

I'd like to second that motion; I thought I was the only one that considered the Spencer Rifle a fascinating repeater! I wasn't totally wrong!!

I second Two Flints. If it weren't for this forum, I wouldn't have a deposit down with the marshal on a .56-50. Can't wait to be able to contribute more directly.

And I'll add my thanks and appreciation as well!

Still waiting for word from the Marshal on shipping my .56-50 and accessories - so impatiently that I can't even get excited about Christmas!    ;)

I must concur....Spencers are cool, and so are the people who use them.
Back when I started SSS, I had no idea that it would come so far, afterall, I was very close to calling us the Associated Spencer Shooters.  That would have made me ASS #1 ;D.
I had the love of the gun, the idea and the inspiration, but Two Flints has helped so much to make this all come to fruition 8) - it is to him, the members and brotherhood of SSS owe him a dept of gratitude. His work, his help and the relationship he fostered with the Marshal has helped us become what we are...well, I'm not exactly sure what we are....but we're here!

Happy Rama-chana-kwanz-mas!
