Last few matches, I have been using my new Schofield and 1979 vintage Colt SAA. and my "real purty" Marlin 1894 Century Limited in .44-40.  I am feeling a little too modern, though, so I think I will do a combo Crossfire Trail/Last Stand at Saber River.  In Crossfire, Selleck's character uses a Scofield and an 1872 Open Top.  In Last stand, he uses an 1860 Richards Type I conversion and an 1860 Henry.

My line up will be the Schofield and 7.5 inch 1872 Open Top, along with my HRA 1860 Henry in .44-40.  In 1875, my character, a California lawman in the 1870s, would have availed himself of the new technology of the Smith and Wesson Top Break, but would probably have kept one of his open tops as a back up, especially since he still carried a 16 shooter Henry rifle in the same caliber.  He probably would not yet have gotten the newer 1873 Winchester, as they were not common until later in the decade, and would have represented a logistic problem of three calibers instead of two: .45 Schofield and .44 Henry (with the 1872 back-up using the Henry ammo.)

Schofield paired with my .45 Cal. 5.5" 1872 Open Top to replicate Rafe's pair in Crossfire trail.
