Maybe getting my Spencer soon.

I happened to be at my LGS picking up my modern Bolt Action Rifle. As I was waiting around I happened to look at a gun rack and lo and behold there was a Chiappa Spencer in 44-40. Maybe I will breakdown and buy it next week and then I will be an official member of the Spence Shooting Society.

It happened I went back to my LGS and bought myself a Chiappa Spencer Carbine in 44-40.

Now i have to wait 10 days to bring it home (California)

Forgot to ask. Is there a vendor that has the Blakslee box for sale? I will be looking for one for 44-40 cartridges.

Ordered a Blakeslee Cartridge Box from C&C. Maybe it isn't an original, but it will work until I save enough money for one.

Brought my Spencer home, now I will have to find some ammo for it. 44-40 is really Scarce.

My Blakeslee Cartridge Box from C&C Sutlery was delivered and it is a fairly good reproduction. Only one of the tubes was in bad shape from the soldering and I was able to use a file to fix it up.
