13℉ and snow - up to 3" today, with an additional 2"-4" tomorrow.

The Big Chill all next week and into the following week. (To keep Del from getting the drizzles, I refrained from using "Polar Vortex".)

Nope, they calling this on an Alberta Clipper, looks like maybe 4 here already and big white cornflakes falling.

From a ranch in Wyoming, your cowboy wisdom for today, "follow your dreams no matter how stupid."   I reminded Alex of coming in with his mom and telling me he wanted to be a cowboy. ::)

Back form the Toy store & lunch

I grabbed two like new padded soft canvas rifle cases .... $ 5 each   :)

Looks like someone consigned their guns and these were left behind , both cases had a number in black marker ...one was marked  #  47 the other Saigon 62  :-\

Heck for 5 bucks, in that kinda Like new cond.  .....they could say  Zip Gun   ::)

Deep freeze doesn't get here until tomorrow, and then for the next week the guessers say no temps above freezing. Mid 30s and muddy here. Set out some round bales for the critters, fixed some fence. Left battery tender hooked up to tractor, plan on moving some hay on the frozen ground this week. Still have a bunch of them lined up in the (rather soft) hayfield, gonna bring them closer to where they'll be needed.

The Trinity Kid

Evening all.

Currently-2 with wind chill of -17- -35, and blowing snow. Six inches in the past 12 hours.

Had to do qualification with an M4 today. It's not terribly difficult, 24 rounds at 25 meters on six targets of varying size. And you get a red dot for it. Someone from finance managed to fail, the other 6 of us passed. I got 23/24, the miss being a flinch that put my little bullet just outside the hit zone. I can live with a 23.

Coffee and tear are rationed here this morning. Water froze, forgot to let it drip. Re-learning the joys of mobile home living. Only had to do that in the old farmhouse when it got down to low single digits.
