2021 matches in Iowa

On April 24/25 we will be hosting an expansion era match at the Searsboro range. Two skirmish runs, precision pistol, precision rifle and long range out to 500 yards. Sunday the 25th is rain date/ happy fire. On Oct. 2/3 we will be hosting the Div. of Ia. match at the Colfax range. Sat. Oct. 2nd will be the Division expansion era match and Sun. Oct, 3rd will be the Division main match. Two skirmish runs, precision pistol and precision rifle. Camping is available at both ranges. More details in the next week or so.

To All, the Era of Expansion match on 24/25 Apr. will have the following options. Regulars- 1903's / k98's /SMLE's and other Mil-Spec rifles up to 1916. Semi auto handguns are included in this category. Volunteer- Krag's / Long lee's / Pre 98 mausers and other Mil-Spec rifles. Single and double action revolvers, no semi-autos. Guardsman- all lever guns and non mil-spec rifles that are GAF legal, any GAF legal handgun. Forager- any GAF legal shotgun, any GAF legal handgun. The match will be two skirmish runs, precision pistol and long range(up to 500 yds.). Round count is 30+ pistol, 65+ rifle/shotgun. This is a no miss match so plan accordingly. Lunch will be provided on Sat. Registration on Sat. at 8:30, match to start at 9:30. Sun. will be the rain date or happy fire. Let me know if you have any questions and we hope to see you then.

Just an update- stages are set, lots of movement and some challenging targets. We have a new range manager and he really wants to see the range used, hoping this works to our advantage. If we could get a rough idea on who plans on coming that would help with our plans for lunch on Sat. Thanks and we'll see ya in a couple of weeks.

Major 2, understand about the travel- the Oct. match offers two days of shooting for the same travel time, just sayin. Slim, the match is $30. Are you planning on camping? If you are PM me for details.
