Started on the belt today. Decided to not make this one a military belt and just go with one of the buckles I have on hand. Still not sure which I will use yet but will show that when it's time.

Here is what I got done so far.

Looking good, Rube. You did a good job modifying the border design the way you did on the billet and buckle pieces. They aren't the same as the belt but they make a nice variant that flows with the belt to make it interesting.

I'm with Marshal. Really like the billet and buckle ends. The whole thing looks great.

Thanks guys. I wasn't sure really what it would turn out like. The reason I didn't do it the same as the main belt and holsters is because the lines would have ran into my stitch like when sewing them into the belt and they looked too plain to just sew on without anything. I used the same stamps and hoped they would still flow with the design.

True.... they sure don't have to match. Just been wanting to try a military belt buckle and black belt and thought this would be the perfect rig for that.

My take on this. A repurposed CW belt coupled with an old cap box for cartridges mated with a Carrico holster for my SAA.

Looks great Rube.

Is that vinegaroon or some other dye?

Well, here is the belt finished up.

I usually hand stitch things but I have been trying to incorporate the machine at times to get used to it. It's still a booger for me to use going around turns and things like when sewing on the billets. I don't like how the makers mark is not centered and will work to correct that going forward. This is the second belt I have made. I think I will purchase Will's belt pattern pack so I can have some formal instruction.

Here are a few photos. Hard to take photos of a belt this big but I'm a big ole boy. I should work to correct that also.  ;D

I still plan to prob. make some type of pouches for the belt for balls, caps and possible extra cylinders.

That there Rig looks some FINE to me.  It "almost" piques my interest toward Remmingtons.  (NOT)  :D   REALLY REALLY nice rig.

I was a Colt guy for many years when it came to the Black Powder Revolvers and held off for a long time on buying the Remingtons but I have to say, I am glad I got this pair. They shoot so well and they feel nice in my hands. I still like the Colts though too. Don't hurt to have some of each.

Thanks Marshal. Overall I am happy with it. Now I am looking over the net to see pouches for balls and caps and things like that.
