2021 NCOWS National Convention

The 2021 NCOWS National Convention is scheduled for March 19-21 in Nashville, Indiana. The registration forms and info is on the NCOWS website. The Scarlet Mask Vigilance Society (SMVS) posse is hosting it. As of January 23rd the convention is still a go. Of course things could change due to the COVID-19 issue.
There are some great seminars planned, also we are going to do the BB Pistol Arcade shoot that was planned for last year's cancelled convention. The 3 BB pistols (1873 Peacemaker, 1875 Schofield, and 1875 Remington) will be raffled with the winners announced at the convention banquet. Jim Kakavecos (High Card) is the convention chairman and Jackie Liebrandt (Miss Sunshine) is accepting the convention registrations.

Agreed. If country Joe and his fish don't shut the USA down, I expect local restrictions too. I can't lay out money now on that type of risk

Ever since I drank a fifth of Canadian 80 proof in about an hour as a high school senior, I can't get within whiffing distance of the stuff.

Travelling is pretty much out for me this year, but I hope all goes well, and I'll have to be satisfied with reading about it! I think some of y'all may need to appoint a designated note taker to remind you the next day of your exploits. Just make sure they aren't taking those "'notes" with their smartphone

It is more about hanging out with old friends and sharing stories or making up new ones. Although the sampling is great.

I have enough stock to shoot this year without dropping to 22 rimfire. Variety of arms/ammo will differ.
Must have been blitzed when I dropped this in this thread. Working on changing ways, nothing hard in a week, will still bring a couple of Bourbons, & do some sampling.

Transfer the $92.00 whiskey into a flask for personal use and fill the empty bottle up with suitcase whiskey. Dilemma solved.

I am an alcoholic! Can't get past step 1, I am not powerless! I haven't had a drink in 3 weeks, 2x bottles of Bourbons in house, unopened!
My 1st exposure to AA, 4 months ago, sister called me to admit she was an alcoholic, calling to absolve. Up until she called, nothing to absolve for. I listened & replied, I too am an alcoholic! Wanting to support her, looking for support, her reply to was damaging, shut up, this isn't about you, it's about me'
Want to support, but door slammed in face hard!
Screw it folks, I am not helpless!
Where do I go from here?

Find a sponsor. Check with local AA groups that may be in your area.

From what I understand, if you're not ready there's not much anyone else can do.

When I say I can't get past Step 1, I am not powerless, I can go without, my weakness is moderation.
My goal at whiskey samplers, not to get drunk!
Thank you for your support! Samples limited to 1/4 shot, no more than 3 shots max.

This week snuck up to on me, haven't made reservations yet, volunteered to drive for DAV, on Thursday, short trip, Cedar Rapids, but can't make reservations until I know when I am done for the day. 6.5 hour trip to Nashville, may have to stay somewhere in between on Thursday.
Woo Hoo, short day driving with VA, short trip to Cedar Rapids 30 miles, both patients Covid Vaccinations, should be home by 10:00.
