It's always been a dream of mine to make a couple of 19th-century saddles and them be a decent enough horseman to use them, but I don't know my lead from my diagonal. Anyone else out there have the dream or better yet, pursue the reality?

I was lucky. I got hired by a saddlemaker when I was 25. Learned a lot, had a good time and still use the skills he taught me.

Looks like a right pert amount of work went into that.

You done good, Pard.
People like me are the reason people like you have the right to bitch about people like me.

Good-looking saddle, pard. I like the amount of tooling on it.
