Pitspitr

Thanks to all for the calls, texts and email notes of concern.

I am back work today. Was yesterday too, but couldn't "tough it out" for the full day. I'll make it today though.

The fatigue was the worst part for me. For all practical purposes I slept for a week and a half. I tried reading a couple of times and found it just too exhausting to continue.

BTW, I may have to spend more time on sick call. Seems while I was sleeping there were several old friends who are spending time active here again. If me being sick is what it takes to get old friends to check back in.. well, I guess I could be convinced to be sick occasionally.  ;)

If the General was perfectly normal, he wouldn't be near as "interesting"!

(we do like to see him healthy however)

Glad you are back up and feeling better.

November was a rough month, two of my high school buddies lost the mothers to Covid within a week of each other.

Everyone stay safe!

If any of us were "normal" we would not be posting here in the first place. :-\

I have always gravitated to the Group W bench, even before I had heard the song.   I am in esteemed company.

Thanks Guys!

I don't know that I can recall ever being called "normal." "Colorful," on more than one occasion and judging by their expressions when they said it, they weren't talking about my freckles

I just really, "wanna ride my motorcy--cle"

River City John sez..."We're all bozos on this bus!" 'Firesign Theatre' album, right? Dark green and black.
Yupper! Another famous album quote from the mid-1960's was "Brown shoes don't make, quit school, can't take it!" as well as this notable ditty, "She was only 13 but she knew how to nasty!" Pushing the envelope then but pretty flat now. The original album had a yellow background with dad and crew spread out over the front. Think West coast in the mid-1960's. Need another clue? OK, his initials are F. Z., he wore a huge mustache and goatee and had loose wavy hair that looked like a vacuum cleaner hit it.
Ah, memories, at least Covid ain't taken all of those yet...ooops, jist dated myself!
Best regards and never stop remembering!

P.S. May God bless all those who have gone before me this past year. Those of us with severe disabilities or handicaps are left to counting the days when we hear about the hundreds of thousands that are said will pass before the end of the year according to the pros. May they all have peace at the end and go with God.

Old Gabe, discovered about 20 some years ago, mention "we are all bozo's on this bus" to a majority of people in our age group few will know.  Mention it to same age group of CAS/Living History/reenactor types and the majority will know.  Something in there for a doctorate or something, don't have time to take it on now, but it is true based on my surveys of a few hundred.

No I'm waiting for the electrician or someone like him. ;D

When I worked at the Fort we had this lady in her 70's about as straight laced as you can be.  One day there was an electrical problem and I walked in her Dept and it was dark, asked her what was going on and she said the above, asked her if she was a bozo on the bus and yep, she was. ::)
