For my one day Muster the last weekend in March, would the participants prefer Saturday or Sunday?

Hi Chuck

Sunday makes it easier for all of us heathen's to drive there Saturday, stay all night Saturday and be all ready to choot and go home after the match.  If I heard right, the Missouri match is probably a bit shorter than the Muster.

I prefer Saturdays, as long as the Post Office doesn't run out of subs, so I can be off.

Whiskey Double

Nice easy drive home Sunday. Home in time to get some sleep before going to work Monday.

But don't change it on my account. Likely will have family responsibilities that weekend

Hi
Chances are that I'll either be there or not, but the decision won't matter between Saturday or Sunday.  It ain't all that far.

While near Lawton go to the Meer's Burger place.

Get a burger obviously, but get cobbler, get two and have them for breakfast for a few days.  If you hike the Wichita Mountains, wear runing shoes to get way from the buffalo and the longhorns.

Hey Capt Dan,  The range is in St Robert, just east of Ft Lenord Wood, just off I-44.  I'll set it up after the Cowboy match the weekend before, don't need to worry about that.

Looks like most folks want saturday.  I need to check with the Range owners to be sure, then I'll post a schedule.

would love to help out but that shortens the trip by 3 days so way cool.  Still talking the the Nell LTC Retired Emerald Anne Holiday.  It is tough when you are out ranked and out flanked but think she will like the idea.  The only fly in the ointment will be if she has a Class to give the week of the muster or shortly after it.  If her class is earlier or in late april there should be no problem.

Approximate round count and schedule of events would be nice including any social events like informal dinner the night before or night of etc,

The Match has not been written yet.  However,  you can expect 3 skirmish runs, 15 to 20 rifle targets, 3-10 handgun targets each.  There will also be a "Mad Minute" side match, where you will start with an empty rifle (and empty clips if used), and see how many times you can hit a target at 50 yards in 60 seconds.

I will have my camper on site, there will be a fire and stick roasting food the night before.  I have a couple of Pie Irons as well for sandwichs and other stuff.  No alcohol allowed on the range, so all are encouraged to bring your local soft drinks for all to try. (I have a small root beer outfit a few miles from me, great stuff.)  You will be allowed to tell stories, with no truth verification required.

Ok looks like 150 rifle and 100 pistol should be more than adequate.  Decisions Krag, Trapdoor, 93 mauser, Schoffield, New Service, New Army or Vaquero.  Or I could just get DQ'd shooting k31 swiss and P08.

She who must be obeyed and her sister Linda who was at the last Grand Muster I attended will come as camp followers but will not do laundry, dishes or cooking.  They will entertain the two dogs that do not want to be within 300 yards of gunfire.
