General Davenport has advised me that I have greatly overstayed my leave and to report back to the Barracks at once or face a Court-Martial.  Something was mentioned about facing a firing squad composed of the entire GAF.

While I have been absent, as in not posting, I have been visiting periodically to catch up on the latest reports and developments.  Glad to see everything is progressing well and the GAF has received some excellent recruits.

I love the smell of Black Powder in the morning!

Yes, yes, welcome back, sir. Ugh, don't worry about the key to the liquor cabinet/cask...somehow it all seemed to evaporate all by itself. (hic) Not really sure how. ;D

Pitspitr

Welcome back! Great to see you General!

I am pleased to be able to report that while the virus has reduced attendance at some events, it has affected us far less than some organizations and the Ladies and the men of the GAF remain in overall excellent health in spite of travel required to attend the various Musters.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Apologies for not responding earlier, but I've weaned myself away from the computer so don't get on as much as I used to.   I'll probably just drop in every few days, at least for now.

Yes, I am well traveled and missing not being in Europe at the moment.  Maybe next year.

I turned the key to the Regimental medicinal likker cabinet over to Gen Davenport.

Oh, why did you have to tell them that? Now I'M going to have to listen to them whine about it being locked!

On the other hand maybe we should just have a celebration for your return (and then forget to replenish the stock) ::)

I've noticed that my personal supply of single-malt Scotches have taken a significant hit during the pandemic.  Strictly for medicinal purposes of course!  ;D

Ah, a man of taste, discernment and refinement.

Someone had to give some class to what would otherwise be merely a vulgar brawl...I seem to have been volunteered
