My dad wanted a 1911 Holster so I made this one for him.

I still have a problem with my order of operations. I did my stitch groove after I beveled so it got off track some. I wanted to try something different on this one so I did a basketweave. I have already got some pointers on how to clean up the basketweave. I was not overlapping enough and that caused some inconsistencies.

I need to pick up a pancake pattern for a 1911. I don't personally own a 1911 or a Bluegun so this one was completely off of a WG pattern but would def. like to find a pancack style pattern for a 1911.

I put my dad's initials in the strap. He is more than happy with it. I am happy to have another one in the books and a little more experience that comes along with the process.

Very nice! It's hard to believe that you just got started making Holsters.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Thanks. Maybe there is potential in me to be able to make something as nice as some of yall's work.
I still make mistakes with everyone done so far. Seems like one time I will do good on one part and not as good on another. Then I will correct that on the next one but mess up something else.

I still think my hardest task is getting a nice looking stitch on the back side of the holsters. Getting the front to line up with the back is just a hard task for me.

I don't know how I missed this one, but I'd be proud to put my 1911 in that holster. Nicely done.
