Excellent  movie....
I always though Ricky Schroder was somewhat lacking, mediocre actor .... In Lonesome Dove he was outclassed by Robert Duvall
& Tommy Lee Jones (who wouldn't be ? )  ... and even Dennis Franz in NYPD Blue,  but he was coming in to his own.

Lost Battalion was his best effort and he carried it .

Ace had good ones also, loved going to grandma's and reading them in the Tecumseh Chieftain.

I've got the coffee on.

Haven't been sleeping well the past couple of weeks. May have slept a total of a hour this last night.
Think I will try to sleep after I turn out dogs and cats. Feed the outside cats but won't be light for a hour yet.

It is raining here.

Had a stomach bug the last two days, first one way then the other, slept most of the last two days then couldn't get to sleep last night till about 7 this morning.  Got up and feel better than I have in days, get the stitches from my cyst surgery out today, all,8 of them. ::)  Been pulling a lot but he wanted them left in for 3 weeks because of it being in the muscles and butting up against the big scar.

Got stiches out, they said I healed faster than they thought I would, should have called and complained a week ago instead of waiting, that's what the nurse said, she had trouble digging them out.  Well I didn't want it to split open, my luck it would have caused problems with the heart scar which it connects to.   Anyway, never had it bleed after they took them out, was a bit owie. ::)

Cyst was just a harmless cyst.

Thanks Slim ..safe trip and good shooting

Thunderstorms  with 50% chance of rain, 45% chance of tonight
Was going to set up my new Chronograph and see what my 30/06 and 303 hand loads will
clock at, suppose that best be tomorrow.

On another note: today marks the 192nd day of my PTO .... ::)
It was not uncommon in my in my 52 years show biz career to be between gigs, but there was always the next gig and the next.
This time ? I'm afraid the industry is flatlined and I have no idea when it might see a resurgence.
Some hope it may be the first of 2021, I'm less optimistic.

If I pull the plug , I have a nice severance cash out , on the other hand , I truly enjoy my Job creating and a paycheck.

At 72 though, I'm on the fence .... what to do  :-\

Opinions considered....

i think your ideal of enjoying life... was your work.  Hard to stop sometimes- I wanted to be like you. Health hit me hard. I am the wrong one to ask. Yet you might find something else that will keep you busy. Maybe less profitable money wise. However for your energy and mindset. It might be the thing. Build a custom car or truck. Take up saddle making.
Good luck with your efforts

Thanks for the Coffee Slim- safe travels today.

Rain moving out I think. Still not  feeling the greatest.

Major 2,
you don't strike me as a "guess-I'll-just-put-myself-out-to-pasture" fellow.
More like "Crud!-I'm-busier-now-than-I-was-when-working!"

"Oh the fun you will have
making things anew.
How the projects blossomed
into many from few.

One thing for sure, tho-
this new Boss is a jerk.
He keeps trying to turn
all this fun into work."

Thank you Roo....
Funny you mention saddle making...I built probably 20 or so 1859 McClellan saddles...
Several Hope saddles and a couple of Grimsley saddles in my Cavalry reenacting days...and several for films.

I built the Transitional Grimsley Saddle Martin Sheen rode in "Gettysburg"  but lost it in my Barn fire in 2011  :(

Pretty much been there done that  :)
