Thank you Major S.

Coffee and sweet tea are up.

Pretty good amount of rain yesterday evening.

I suppose the TS on the East Coast May hamper the return schedule of the SpaceX on Sunday.

7:45 a.m.: Advisory

Hurricane Isaias' potential path shifted west again Friday evening, upping the chances of a landfall along the southeast coast of Florida — possibly as a tropical storm — on Sunday.
The projection showed Isaias potentially scraping the beaches of Palm Beach County around 2 a.m. Sunday . Another shift west or even a wobble as it approaches could expose communities to the stronger winds around Isaias' core.

Palm Beach is 75 miles  south and about 55 east of my place.... We may squeak by and just see rain bands and wind gusts.

It not at all unusual , for a Summer Thunder storm , to soak with 3 + inches and 60 MPH wind gusts .... so with luck   :-X

The Space X return is in the Gulf of Mexico ..... way west of the storm track   :-\

Morning y'all.
Thanks for the coffee.

A Remington 10A shotgun followed me home from the "toy store". Made in the late 20's. It had a plug in the mag tube. Took it out and did a good cleaning since there was rust in the mag tube.

'Tis 71 and sunny. High of 82.

I wish. Not for the price I paid. It is in good condition. Most of the blueing is still present.

Afternoon all.

I've come down with some flavor of the kruds today, so i passed on the horse work this morning. Feeling a little better this afternoon, but not much.

I seem to have been bitten by the lever gun bug again, and am considering trading my Model 70 in 280 for a M94 Big Bore in 375 Winchester for a Montana mountain hunting gun. A Lyman receiver sight, some 235 grain Speer Hot Core bullets, and a bull elk bugling sounds like a nice time to me. . I do like my lever guns :D

Isaias weakened to a tropical storm on Saturday afternoon with winds dropping to 70 mph and looked ragged on satellite as the storm emerged over the Florida Straits.

Isaias is expected to encounter wind shear throughout Saturday. If wind shear amounts increase, the storm could have lower wind speeds as it passes Florida, forecasters say.  :)

I'll chime in,  in the AM .... but optimistic tonight  :-X

Good Slim was just curious.

TK I think all of us here do like Lever Guns, of some type.

Glad the Tropical storm is weakening, from what I have read here.

Rain starting to move thru now just a light shower.

Yesterday ? I expected it would be breezy and raining this morning...
not the case , it is clear and still ..this will chance some as the day wears on.

At 5 a.m. ET, the storm was centered about 45 miles east-southeast of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, moving northwest at 9 mph with maximum sustained winds of 65 mph.

Expected rainfall from Isaias, from Friday night through Tuesday in South and east central Florida, could be 2 to 4 inches, with isolated totals of 6 inches, the Hurricane Center said.

Satellite photo has most of the rain & wind off to the east out at sea  :)

Breaking news just released say's  , It will likely NOT regain hurricane strength

My area has been up graded from Hurricane warning  to TS watch...

Got the Coffee going as we all "watch" the tropical storm. You still remain safe Major.

Drier air here today to start.

Nothing special on the menu and  no toy shopping planned. Will watch church service on line this morning. Rest of day nothing planned.

I agree. The felt recoil may be more than you want.

Stay dry and safe, Major 2.

'Tis 73 and overcast. A few showers this morning then thundershowers developing during the afternoon hours. High 74F. Winds N at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70%.

I last saw him on TV on one or more episodes of "Late Night with Craig Ferguson" (Craig is defintiely an acquired taste)
He had a  very dry wit and was quite "low key" ... sometimes it took a half a sec for his comment to sink in.
He broiught his band and also played the Harmonica quite well.

he will be missed.

Thanks all for the good vibes ...
Officials said on Sunday that "Isais would not have a severe impact on Florida, with the threat of storm surges there waning."

We've had light steady breeze all day, and some rain has passed north of me ..none here as of 4:30 PM Sunday.
I'd expect some overnight though. Storm is about due east on here
Should be near Daytona, St Augustine in the early AM , winds are down to 65 mph .

Edit:   first light rain falling now  4:45

The passing of this storm will cause complacency, in foolish people  ::)

The effect here were a light breeze and mild shower yesterday afternoon , I had nothing overnight here at the house.
We have a light breeze and light gray cloudiness, a few leaves in the pool ( about the same after a summer cloud burst )
to mark the passing TS.  It may regain Cat. 1 Hurricane strength before it hits SC or NC
