I had a hernia surgery 2 weeks ago today, so I have been undecided whether
I want to make the drive. I have a follow up appt. with the surgeon next Thursday.
The last couple of days I've been feeling pretty normal, but have a 20 lb weight
limit. the worst pain is when I drive with the seat belt across 3 incisions and the
sewn up hernia. I may snap the seat belt and sit against it, or maybe a small pillow.
But I'm hoping to be up to it. And BNS to compete against me did you convert your
gun to a 300 mag and put a leopold scope on it???

No Billy, all Scotty needs is a Peabody in 45-100 Peabody. I can set him up. ;D

No scope, just a globe front sight and getting my rear sight perpendicular to the barrel so I can see through it!  I shot Long Range at the Nationals with TB Charlie one year,  he made a believer out of me also!

Yours truly,  HUMBLE B.N. Scotty

I think the Bison target would have to be out at least twice is far as it is, and you would have to hit the left testicle for it to be a challenge for you with the 700 Sir!

Respectfully yours,  Major B.N. Scotty

My revolvers, a new model #3, & a Thunderer, backup, a Uberti 44/40 with 3" bbl. Both others 3.5" bbl. Extreme backup, 1899 S&W in 32/20 6" bbl. Still working on Lightning rifle, very finicky with my 32/20 reloads. If I can't figure it out, will use an Winchester 1892 & with a Marlin 1894 as backup, both in 32/20.
Coming from highest new Covid per day by capita, I will be wearing a face shield!
Went to a match today, of 30, only one with face covered.
At this time, giving up on Lightning Rifle. COVID down from 344 eleven days ago to 66 today.
Anyone who has concerns about me attending, speak now! I want to attend, but don't have too.

Brian, if you are waiting for someone to beg you to come, well, I don't think that's going to happen. We have 40+ shooters registered from Ne, TX, MO, KS and IA. We will be outdoors of course and will try to spread out at meal time. We will be running 3 posses to try to help keep the groups smaller. Handwashing/sanitizing readily available,   I can't tell you if anyone else will be masked up or not, we have NOT been at our previous shoots this summer.  The fun of doing this is seeing people you don't get to see all that often, and this year your supposed to shy away from everyone so you don't get the killer (.01%) Wuhan virus, (WHICH SUCKS!).

In the end,  your decision Brian, go with your gut feeling.

Sorry for the rant,  Mike

Was hooking up my trailer yesterday and a wheel went into a hole causing it to
lurch forward, smashing my trigger finger between the hitch and bumper. It
looked pretty ugly, so I went to the doctor and got xrays. The first bone is broke
in half and the finger nail was pulled out ouch!!. So I have a splint on my finger
for 4-8 weeks. Of 10 fingers, it had to be my trigger finger, yes it's definitely 2020.
Hope you all have a good time.

Seconde to all of that.  It was a blast!   It would have been a blast even if I didn't win the pistol

Dusty Tagalon

Had a blast, best weekend of the year.

Side note on travel home, stopped at Brownels, had nothing in stock I wanted/needed (primers). Stopped at Scheels, only 7 bricks in case with sign, do to shortage, can only purchase 1 brick at a time. Purchased a brick of small pistol.

I think I am speaking for all the Regulators involved, when I say it makes all the hard work worthwhile when we get to share our little piece of the Old West, Raccoon Forks, with so many appreciative people we don't get to see on a monthly basis. I don't know if you realize how entertaining it is for us to have ya'all around!

Thanks Again for coming!   Mike Scott AKA: Broken Nose Scotty

While I am a Regulator too, (technically) it seems I only make it to Racoon Forks once a year or so. I always find it quite entertaining!
